“Città Alta by Light” Temporary display

Part of the event “I Maestri del Paesaggio” – 7 to 25 September 2016 – the moms exits for the first time from the confines of its institutional headquarters and is presented to the public with a minimalist installation, but with a strong visual impact.

The temporary exhibition, held at Casa Suardi (Piazza Vecchia – Bergamo), is part of the installations that Clay Paky has set up to enhance the beauty of the historic center of Bergamo, thanks to a clever use of light. “Città Alta by Light” is the name of the project consisting of five light installations designed by theater scenographer Sebastian Roman and dedicated to as many landmarks of the medieval city: Piazza Vecchia, Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe, Porta San Giacomo, Gombito Tower and Campanella Tower.

The temporary exhibition is a little “taste” of the museum and an invitation to visit. Its purpose is to present the contents of the Moms to a wideer audience, not made up of technicians and experts. The aim is to arouse curiosity about the universe of show lighting effects and projectors.

Stars of the show are four iconic pieces of the production of Clay Paky in the last 40 years: Astroraggi (1983), Golden Scan (1988), Sharpy (2010) and A-Leda Beye (2013).

Alongside the exhibition devoted to MoMS it is also possible to visit an installation dedicated by AIDI – Italian Lighting Association – to the videos that won the international competition “Riprenditi la città- Riprendi la luce”

The temporary exhibition and the AIDI installation can be visited every day (7 to 25 September 2016) from 09:30 to 18:30 with free admission.
